A Look at Potential BCS National Championship Matchups

After a hectic day of college football, teams fell in and out of contention for the title game. I will list below the possible matchups we could see in the BCS National Championship Game.

Most Likely Matchup

LSU vs. Oklahoma State: These two teams are currently 1 and 2 in the rankings, and after dominating wins for both teams yesterday(Nov.12), they look to have the best shot to matchup in the title game.

Prediction: LSU 31 Oklahoma State 13, LSU's defense will be too much to handle for OKSt.

Possible Matchups

LSU vs. Alabama: If OKSt. slips up against Oklahoma on December 3rd, we are likely to see a rematch of the defensive battle that ensued on November 5th.

Prediction: LSU 13 Alabama 17, The defenses show up again, but instead we get a few touchdowns and Alabama edges LSU in a tight battle.

Oklahoma State vs. Alabama: LSU still has to play a tough Arkansas team on Novemeber 25th, and if they fall we could see these two teams square off in an epic game.

Prediction: Oklahoma State 17 Alabama 27, Alabama has shown they could play defense against the best, their defense shows up and their offense gets the job done.

Alabama vs. Oklahoma: Unlikely? Yes, but if Oklahoma beats OKSt. and LSU loses to Arkansas, this could be a very likely option.

Prediction: Alabama 21 Oklahoma 13, Alabama seems to have a good chance of winning if I choose them.

Oregon vs. LSU: Rematch? Something tells me it will be a bit closer this game with both teams running on all cylinders.

Prediction: Oregon 31 LSU 27, Oregon gets the best of LSU this time and wins the game by a close margin.

Oklahoma State vs. Oregon: Alright....very very slim chance, but after Oregon's decisive win over Stanford, you never know what the BCS will rank them.

Prediction: Oklahoma State 48 Oregon 42, this is the game we want to see. Up and down the field with tons of points. Either team has a good shot, I give the edge to OKSt.
